Hands On Weavers

Students from Kapooka Public School visited the Hands On Weavers Hub (or ‘Ngurra’ in the Wiradjuri language) where they were introduced to a variety of weaving techniques. The Hands on Weavers exhibit their work in different places in and out of the Wiradjuri region – including the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Australian Museum in Sydney and Museum Victoria.

We need to keep our culture alive in today’s society.
– Aunty Lorraine
